Now for something completely different


The native or ‘bush bees’ are gone for the winter,i have talked about them to a few bloggers recently and described their small but rotund bodies and erratic behaviour..this makes them very hard to photograph and I have spent hours sitting patiently just to get a few snaps..they prefer almost exclusively blue or purple flowers,so the Catnip is very popular with a white but purplish tinge.

  2. Uhoh……I’d be OK with letting those little guys fly around and visit my plants except for the catnip…..that’s OFF LIMITS even to cute fat little bees!! 😉

      • Yow yer Mum too?? Mum iz Lergick to da black Hornetty waspz n haz to take Bennydrill quick like! Regular beez just scare her, MOL!!
        We haz a kind of wasp here dat buildz wifout permitz n Mum smoked dem out a few yearz ago..she waz bery brave. Da waspz either died or flew away n neber came back 😉
