    • Not really at all Sammy πŸ™‚ he is most likely waiting for his girlfriend..they are solo creatures and meet up with the same partner every year..they can live to 40! so it’s very important we let him be safe..i saw him walking the doggies the other day…the reason why this time of year Doc and Fozzie are on lead..for them and the wildlife πŸ™‚
Did you know that the poor mummy Stumpy has babies so big that it is the same as a human having a three year old sized baby!! ouch..poor thing..she can barely move before she has her babies.hugs Fozziemum xx

    • Hahaha πŸ™‚ I hope mums okay Easy! ..he’s a great little guy..and they meet up every year with the same partner so I am waiting for the girlfriend to show up hehehe..they are apparently wonderful pets..of course here you need a licence for keeping wildlife and they are protected by the law…I prefer them in the wild….we spotted him when I was walking the boys the other day..Forrest went crackers..but this time of year they walk on lead..safe for them and the wildlife..

  1. Well G’Day ……we had to call on by when we saw you guys were Aussies. Our mom is an Aussie too even though she has been lining in the USA for the last ten years. She was originally from Adelaide.

    • Hehe Cranky ..not deadly Cupcake ..it’s all bluff..he can give a pretty good bite he wants to and they can get nasty infections that take forever to heal..but he was just letting me know it was his home..i let him be and now i know where he is i can walk the pups the other way so everyone can be happy and safe πŸ™‚ hugs Fozziemum x

  2. Wow what a cool lizard…a lot bigger than the ones I usually chase…mostly we see chameleons…there is this invasive one called a tegu that’s pretty big, but we don’t see many of them in our area and that’s a good thing cause I heard they go after dogs

    • Wow you don’t want that Gizmo!! Forrest and Doc would love to chase this guy ..we saw him on our walk. I walk the boys on lead this time of year due to the wildlife, especially the deadly Brown Snakes..so we finished our walk and I went back to watch him πŸ™‚ Tegu..hmm must look him up! I love lizards and we are lucky with the land here and keep our kitties and doggies well away from the critters..that way we can all live in the bush safely…but it’s 11 acres of nose sniffs that can get the doggies very excited! have a great day Gizmo πŸ™‚

  3. aaww Stumpy Tail is actually kind of cute and adorable in his own little odd way. Heck, I react the same way waking up from my naps – not often but at times. Snorts – wake daddy up. He’s much worse – PLOL (Pig laughing out loud) I do have to say though, your wildlife grows big my friend. XOXO – Bacon

  4. I love to see the scaley ones! As a kid I would have caught him and played around for a bit πŸ™‚ I have seen them for sale in pet shops, not too often but I keep an eye out for unusual members of the herpe group! Thanks for sharing, I didn’t find him scary at all (but of course my mom wasn’t scared of scaly things either so taught me well). I would be worried about those brown snakes! Even I know they are one of the most deadly on earth 😦

    • Thanks πŸ™‚ he is stunning isn’t he..i love them,we have had to move several from the hiuse yard over the years as they aren’t safe around the dogs and cats and love to pick them up πŸ™‚ Not the brown snakes though..they can be left well alone..and if we have stumpies the browns will be out soon, they are beautiful and I have taken great shots of them but I won’t mess with those deadly buggers..no way πŸ™‚
