What happens on the ground stays on the ground

NoΒ matter where I go I meet dogs…I can’t help myself.. if they are out there I am out there and voila! What I love is asking people if I may say hello.. and if I may take their picture..i have never met a dog I didn’t like…pity the same can’t be said of people.. anywho..this is one I found the other day when going through my pics… it was at the town fair….all manner of people, kids, and dogs were in the park…music was playing food was being sold and the day was beautiful…

The reason this pic really makes me smile is the interaction at ground level between these two dogs meeting for the first time….no matter what events were taking place, or what conversations the humans were having or even what they may have been eating or watching…the dogs had their own little moment in the park….I love it…it is the reason I love animals….they too have a life just as special just as interesting and just as important as ours.

  1. Oh they have a communication level of their own that’s for sure…..sure they communicate with US but they definitely socialize in their own special way with each other. This is a great shot – eyes meeting across the grass!

    Hugs, Pam

    • I agree! the reason my boys don’t like other dogs is due to being bullied as pups by off leash dogs with no manners and owners who though it was funny…they love each other but are not fond of other dogs…these two in the park seemed very happy to meet each other though πŸ™‚ thankyou πŸ™‚

  2. It’s amazing how many people you can meet through dogs…I had a fantastic conversation with a woman in Barcelona last year who was THRILLED that I asked if I could pet her dog. Europeans are a little more funny about attention to their pets…must be a boundary thing.

  3. Excellent photo & you captured the moment perfectly. Funny when I meet up with little dogs I always crouch down to them as close as I can get (even with 2 bad knees & a messed up spine). I want to relate to them on their level of sight….funny how they always treat me nicely….i do the same with bigger dogs. I always ask the dog’s name & where they like to be touched….RESPECT is #1 when dealing with any 4 leggeds…
    Humans…well that is another story….for another time….lol…
then again I LOVE the people on this blog site….see people CAN be lovely like 4 leggeds! πŸ˜‰

    • Hehee me too always on their level and yes respect! people I have far more reservations..been bitten by more human metaphorically than I have dogs!! and yes it’s a nice peep zone here ! πŸ™‚ replied to your last comment with a clip for you warrior woman :0

  4. Same here Bev!! Bitten by humans figuratively constantly…only 2 times by my Nanna’s Chihuahua (who I teased so I deserved it!)
Peeps here are our kidn of people; 4 legged lovers with compassion & concern…if only we could have a convention & all meet…can you imagine the love????

    • I sure can Sherri-Ellen πŸ™‚ and I got bitten once on the leg while riding my bike by a lab but his person should have had him on a lead if he didn’t like bikes and the other by a tiny teacup dog in his persons lap…I asked if I could say hello he said yes and the little bugger bit me …goose of an owner….I didn’t care but if the dog did that to someone else then he could have been put down….pfftttt…ok I have to go …:) loves Bev xxxx

  5. Such a beautiful and colourful moment and shot Bev. You are sooo right! Animals are way better to photograph too..hahahaha. Great shot and post hon. πŸ˜€

    • Thankyou so much Sonel πŸ™‚ I agree animals are so much fun, they have a great ability to bring natural life to a picture…they have no pretence so the pics are always fun πŸ™‚ thanks again πŸ™‚ hugs Bev πŸ™‚
