Holly seems to have a new boyfriend

I was so excited to see that Holly and Boo were out grazing in the company of a very big male…

Holly is in the middle here Boo on the left..and those of you who have seen my pics of Holly and Boo haveΒ a good idea of the size of Holly so you can see how big this boy is!!

He is not the biggest Roo around but he is young and strong and will be an even bigger boy as he gets older..Indeed since the bru haha of a last year the dynamic has changed…and this is the first we have seen of Holly with another roo other than Boo since then.

I have called him Indie …he seems to be happy with Holly and Boo and maybe independent so from independent I get indie πŸ™‚

    • Very cute Rumpy..she and her joey have been alone since a big take over by another Boomer (alpha male) seems she has found a mate which is lovely..there will be a little joey poking it’s head out of her pouch soon πŸ™‚ the roo population at home here is healthy and thriving! hugs Fozziemum xx

    • Indeed there will…roos are pretty much pregnant all the time..even with a joey in her pouch she will have a tiny weeny one also..this itty bitty one is as a backup if the bigger one in the pouch dies..so she has a joey at foot and most likely two in the pouch!! πŸ™‚

    • I think they like to box for the right to the ladies..they stick with her like glue when they feel romantic…and then they all hang out with the mob..the boomer will stay behind if they scatter and stare you down though πŸ™‚ best bouncers ever bwahahaha πŸ™‚

        • They cab be deadly if threatened ..many dogs have been killed by roos after chasing them and cornering them..they have been known to drown dogs in dams by standing on them..they will gut a dog with their hind claws and can easily do the same to a person..they will only fight if cornered threatened or injured..they have caused damage to people when hit by cars as they go through windscreens..of course in places such as sanctuaries etc they are hand reared and as such quite gentle.. πŸ™‚ I would never ever allow a roo to feel I was invading their space here and always keep a distance that they feel comfortable with πŸ™‚ hugs Fozziemum xx

            • Those claws and hind legs are incredibly powerful..they box each other the same way but not really violently just to work out who is boss or Boomer…they kick up and rake their claws down and that is where the damage comes in..idiots who box them and think it’s funny are really a disgrace..on so many levels..at 80kgs for a large male and standing at around 6 feet tall that’s a lot of power and the Red Kangaroos that live in the centre of the country and up the top of Australia are even bigger ..I will pop a linky up for a good fact site it’s really interesting πŸ™‚
