Memorial Monday

Just a very quick post to say to my friends in the USA that I think of their countrymen’s /women’s and service animals sacrifices for their freedoms.

As with our Anzac Day, when we remember those who have laid down their lives so we may stand ,I have taken the time to reflect on the lives lost and the lives physically and emotionally scarred by conflict..

Enjoy your day with family , friends and loved ones…I hope the Spring day is glorious and I hope that while you enjoy your cookouts you also think of the people around you and how lucky we all are in these countries of freedom we call home that we can gather and celebrate in safety.

Indeed you do live in the land of the free and the home of the brave and may you continue to do so.

I am sorry for the lack of response to comments also as my eyes are in a very bad way and I am struggling to see the keyboard at the moment..i will reply soon I promise 🙂

  1. Oh Bev….sorry you’re having problems with your eyes – hope you’ll be “bright eyed” again – just take it easy (which you rarely have a chance to do I know!!). We are remembering the REASON for today here but also enjoy making new memories with family and friends with our get-togethers. All of us are lucky to live as we are……….free.

    Hugs, Pam

        • Exactly…they need to just let this family heal..if and when he decides to discuss what he has been through then they also need to make sure he is well looked after..the press are vultures…
