Many colours Monday

I had fun going back through my old files and finding the pictures from the Castlemaine State Fair..i thought I would share some more of the day with you all.
To explain a bit we live in an area that was predominant in Apple Orchards..so this day live trees dotted the park ..apples amd pears..people could just grab one as they liked..these trees were later sold as five year old trees and we purchased four!
So the park also had a giant shared lunch table and crates with veggies growing…our own local lad Beau a former Master Chef contestant ( and one of the apple pie baking judges who gave me my best apple pie and best apple cake medals just sayin…)had a cook off and of course their was plenty of music and dance performances and art and crafts..
Please enjoy more colour and fun at our little towns fair ..

    • Indeed the whole district was apples..(after originally being goldmining many many moons ago) but drought meant most orchards were pulled out…the little town closest to was the Apple capital of Austaralia at that time..now it is Tasmania πŸ™‚ a pretty town and lot’s of fun πŸ™‚ xx Fozziemum xx

        • That is gret..I cannot imagine the snow..i have been up to our snowfields before but it is quite a long long trip! the girls and pups have a wonderful oasis out the back but the front and rest of the property is a very different story..it is ready to burn..dry dusty and the dam is very very low..the lowest I have seen it..so all the work has gone into the back so the furries can have something to keep them happy..

  5. Oh man, how FABulous!!!!! You knows, our valley used to be nothing but orchards too! all kinds of fruits, butts mostly cherries and apricots!!! When Ma was a wee lass, there were still ‘mini orchards’ right here in our neighborhood! Sometimes she would sneak a fruit or two..delish! And in the spring, the fragrant air was amazin’!! She misses that….it’s all houses and buildings now. Progress I guess. 😦
Anyhu, Ma laughed at the carrot…so many jokes that just write themselves…..☺

  6. One can never take too many photos. These are all fantastic, I never go anywhere so it is nice to get to see new places. I had to look up the berry tree on Wickipedia. You need to make a “where’s Fozzie?” book, that was a cute shot with his blind friend.
