Lest we forget

The Ode

They shall grow not old,as we that are left grow old

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will  remember them

For those gone..for those left behind and for those who still fight for our freedom..

Man’s capacity for destruction is the greatest sadness i have..Man’s ability to create wonder and peace is the hope i live with..

  1. Beautiful post Bev….
There was no way to negotiate during the 2nd WW. Hitler only knew how to kill and destroy!!! There was no other choice but for War….if it were not for the Allies my Father & Nephew would have not survived. As it was. his 2 other Nephews were gassed. My Father’s Mother lived thru the War only to be lined up with all the other prisoners in Leipstag (Poland) the day before Liberation & they were shot down like dogs….
Bodies left where they dropped; the allies were in bits when they found the people dead.
I am very vocal about this as a Post Holocaust Child. I have never done anything to anyone because I am Jewish. I respect all other religions. All I ask is for people to respect me & if they do not ‘like’ my religion then just ignore me & leave me alone….
As long as I am alive I will NEVER forget!
