  1. I bet the tomatoes will fly on me … butt I wish we had fall or winter now…november would be not bad… the light bulb reminded me of christmas… and I could wear my new boots… and it rains anyway, so we could skip that summer…

    • It has been really a very cold winter this year and tonight the wind is blowing badly as another polar front crosses the state..perhaps something in between arctic and sweltering is too much to ask πŸ™‚ the bulb does have a xmas vibe..i looked like a nut case running through the trees and snow hanging it every which way to see the effect..but the reflections were so pretty..imagine if i had gottne them on the comouter and seen a madman in the image ..yikes!! those boots of mine would get a run for their money πŸ™‚ xxx

        • I know..freak out central..these shots i took with a micro lens..not a real true macro but i have taken good shots with the 18-55mm you can get adaptors and extension tubes and even believe it or not but holding a magnifying glass against the subject then shooting can be effective πŸ™‚ the lens i used is a Nikon Micro 40mm and the bigggest problem with it is you have to get so close that it has shadows… and can bump the subject and smear the lens..very tricky!

            • Damn..i know i have checked my shutter on the net you can search your model and it will tell you when the shutter will sh*tter itself πŸ™‚ i am sure after the Aldi experience a new camera is a just treat πŸ™‚

              • was it myshuttercount.com? I’ve checked it, because I thought the cam guy will only sell a new cam and said mine is death… but sadly the online tool said the same… either manipulated by the cam-guy … or it is really true… I’m sad… it’s like my friend since more than 5 years :o(

                • Yep that’s it! i know how you feel..mine is 4 years old in August…and now worth about 300 dollars hahahaah still has a good shutter count luckily..but my landscape lens has a mark on it…so that will be fun to get fixed…urghhh hubby is wanting to buy me a new camera for my birthday so i am happy i will have a spare..makes me sound posh but i really do need a spare…:)

                • isn’t that annoying that as soon as you bring that thingy home it is worth not even the half of the price? I saw a bundle with the canon 1d and two lenses for a moderate price. for the object of desire, the 5d markIII I have to do a salto mortale on the aldi parking again or I have to smash my bones on the parking lot of chanel or vuitton LOL

  4. It looks to me like you have your photography mojo back…yay! Our summer has not been too hot, so we didn’t need to see those snow photos (I think we had a similar conversation on FB or Instagram?). But that’s OK, the photos are beautiful and we’re due for a heat wave this week so I may be back to look again! xxoo

  5. You’re back! We missed you so much. Your photos are so very well done…you make mom look like a child taking photos.
Each photo you took tells a story unto itself. My very favourite is the reflection in the bulb. So artsy fartsy. Hope you are going to commercialize your work…others need to see them.

  7. Lovely photos Bev! I have been spinning, spinning, spinning. I try to do at least 20 mins per day and am starting to really get the hang of it. I liken learning to spin like riding a bike. It takes practice and perseverance and you wonder if you ever will be any good at it and then one day you are actually riding! I can’t wait to see you and give you some yarn! Each ball is slightly better than the one before it! πŸ˜€
